what do you think sania is going to do ?
i think she is not going to loose her focus as she lost some of her matches during the clay court seaseon. she has surely learnt from her mistakes otherwise she would not have reached the third round of U.S.OPEN.i want to know more about her so please send me a mail when you come to know any news from her.

The south eastern coast has been hit by Katrina and not the western coast! Please check on the veracity of your reports

senseless omparison

The opening statement is one of the most insensitive statements I have seen in years. Hurricane Katrina has caused a tragedy, leaving thousands stranded and exposed to death. Is sania expected to cause one. I can't believe some journalists can even think of such insensitive comparisons.

sania mania at us open
by ravi on Sep 01, 2005 08:02 PM

the first line of this article says... "While the western coast of this vast country has been hit by Hurricane Katrina, the eastern side is reeling under the rush of Sania Mirza."

In reality, hurricane Katrina hit the Southern coast, in the Gulf of Mexico - which is far far away from the western coast. The hurricane hit the southern states of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi which are more to south-east of the USA. New York city, where the US Open is being played, is in the north-east!

There shud b a dress code made for women tennis players...
by rohan on Sep 01, 2005 07:46 PM  | Hide replies

First of all,i wud like 2 congratulate Sania Mirza for her entry into the 3rd round of US Open.Being a compatriot,i feel proud whenever i remember that she is one of the top 50 women tennis players in the world. She deserves the Arjun Award that came her way a few days ago.
Coming to the other aspects,i wud like 2 request thru this message,2 the WTA to enforce a dress code for the women players. One cant really watch a tennis game at home ,especially when elders r at home, and especially when women play. And 2 see Sania Mirza in the kinda dress she wears ,its not a nice feeling.I am not blaming her for it ,coz one can understand the requirements of the game and the comforts needed while playing, but one can always wear something atleast down till the knee...i suppose most of the readers and Indians will agree with me.I wud like to see comments and critics[if any]abt my opinion.
THANK U

If you are uncomfortable watchin, then pls dont..the game and dressing standards cannot be altered to suit your needs...and pls concentrate on her game and not on her outfits..!!

good luck Sania

Sania,
I wont be surprised if you win a Grand Slam one day.But you need to control yuor agression while playing those winners.I had stopped watching Tennis once Steffi Graff retired ,as there was no one to watch. Now we have you on the courts. So keep the good work, carry on and good luck.
