First of all, hearty congratulations to Saina Nehwal for winning the Asian Satellite Badminton tournament just at the age of 15 & in the process beating Aparna Popat - India's undisputed badminton champ for over 8 years.
This has indeed signalled a new era in Indian Women's Badminton.
Not only, has a new teenage sensation arrived, who can take over the reins from Aparna Popat, but it has also provided Indian Badminton with a beacon of hope. That, at least we have another world-beater among us.
What Saina now needs is world-class facilities, training,corporate sponsorship & a lot of foreign exposure inorder to achieve her goal. Also, she to work really hard from now onwards inorder to improve upon her fitness & stamina level.
So, the day now is not far from where we shall at last have a World's Women Badminton champion from India.
