Good Article seems responsible piece of journalisum
by agam on Nov 05, 2005 01:07 AM  | Hide replies

I feel so sorry but things will change.infact things are changing. But I m more happy with this responsible journalisum.I believe Prime responsible of journalisum is bring news which really need to get attention rather then just been more intrested in writing about Sharhukh Khan's birthday.Journalisum should be voice of people who are unheard ,giving attention to happening around which can make change in society.

Sorry to say but so many article on Sharhukh Khan's birthday I don't think it is responsible journalisum

Stop watching cricket and reduce the TRP ratings. Will promote other sports. Gladly, we are transforming. Look at F1, Tennis, Badminton, Boxing etc... #.Unless the sports ministry share and promote other sports, there will be many more Kutraleeshwarar in the league :-(

I really felt sad for kutral not able to realise his dream. At the same time I admire his ambition to open a swimming academy in india to serve the sport which has given glory and atlast gloominess to him.

This is real india. Good talents are not encouraged in diff sport fields. Sponsors should volunteer to diff sports and it will work as how sania made a diif in tennis.

Good Piece of article
by K. Arumugam on Oct 20, 2005 10:23 AM

It's good piece of journalism, highlighting a forgotten hero. People running the sports pages and those interested in sports, including sponsors, should hang themselves in shame, as we treat non-cricketing talents this way. I remember I met him in 1994 as he was returning from school.

what i shall call this write up as, A story of unbecoming a sportstar , A story of an Indian Dream, A story of a winner, A story of a looser, A Story of Passion, A story of Compassion, A story of Corrupt India, But I appreciate Kutral, For getting the things he had taken up.

We Indians should really be worried for loosing this talented guy with such tenacity and Passion.
Can we make one more Kutral anymore, If so, what would happen, he would again have to write his story of Changed destiny to IBM or Microsoft or some other IT Giants.

I should bow down for the Chief Ministers Gesture of funding for him. And infact i would suggest Kutral, should have approached the government again (inspite of the known negligence and redtapesism)

We need to learn that, the spirit of having a focussed vision and working on that vision is very less in no. in India, We have lost one such spirited guy and lets see to that, atleast in the future we dont loose any.
Lets choose the right governance who supports such initiative and get the right things from them.

I salute Kutraleeswaran and wish all his dream come true. Would i get the email Id to share my thougts with Kutral ?

Its really sad..
by vidhya on Oct 07, 2005 06:46 PM

It is really sad to read that kutraleswaran stopped swimming. But its his story is just one feather in a bunch. There are so many people who lack sponsorship and recognition. India has just now woken up from a long slumber with dreams of cricket. A long way to go...

stop being anti-cricket
by Ravi on Oct 13, 2005 01:06 AM
Well dude,
Stop being so anti-cricket. Junta in India like cricket because the overall performance of India in the last 6 yrs is good. Well we did have the occational hiccups but common, we did reach 10 finals in a row, went till the Worldcup final etc.

In the 60s and 70s, guys were mad on hockey: India used to be a champion during that era and so the junta were mad on Hockey.

So why blame the sponsors: What is the point in sponsoring the athetics guys who could not even reach the finals or atleast do a shot-put without a foul in Olympics of 2004?

What is the point in sponsoring Anjali Vedpathak when she could not even make it to the finals of 2004?

Instead they rather sponser the cricket team, Bhupati, Paes or Sania.

Regards
A Practical sports fan

I am not being anti-cricket but guys wake from mediocrity. Did India really fair that well all through the last 3 decades to deserve such an adulation and attention. Tell me one thing if even sania didnt have a generous sponsor at the right time we would never had seen a champion. Winning is not everything. All great successes in life begin with the first small step of getting started right. If we dont encourage other sports through sponsors and proper facilities, wishes and support then we will naver see a day when we have a world swimming champion, an olympic gold medal winner in badminton or even a competitive 100m dash specialist.

I deeply emphatise with your feeling Kutral. You deserved a much better treatment from life. It was touching to know your story and I vow to make atleast some change from my side to this irresponsible and ridiculous behavior towards budding sportsmen
