I do not want to downplay the achievement of Vijaypat Singhania but I think I would have been more proud as an indian if that balloon was designed by an indian company because that's where the major expertise lies. If some one had put me also in tha baloon, even I would make that achievement!!!

Mr. Vijaypath Singhania has done every Indian proud by breaking the record, he hsa shown that we Indians are no less than any one in the world, given an oppotunity we can achieve what we desire.HATS OFF!!! to Mr. Singhania.Well Done. However, it would have been a bit more soothing if the capsule was designed by ISRO rather than NASA.But now we know that day is not too far....

Singhania sets altitude record
by Prakash Periasamy on Nov 27, 2005 06:41 AM

Good to see an Indian setting a world record. In the other hand it's bad to watch other fellow indians not participating in this record. A small analysis will reveal my statement. Last week I saw more than 10 comments at rediff's chat board about the rumours surrounding a bollywood actor with an actress while there is only one comment from a gentleman on this issue. Come on fellow Indians, let's encourage and feel proud of emerging indians like Singhania.

Mr. Singhania today made us proud as Indians. Nothing is Impossible if one really wants to do it. I am in Toronto now. But can feel the greatness he has achieved not just in "heights" in skies but also in the "hearts" of all the Indias across the WORLD.
We salute you, Mr Singhania. Am Proud to be an Indian !

Three cheers to India, Indians & Mr Singhania
by Dr. George Joseph Themplangad on Nov 27, 2005 01:03 AM

What an accomplishment!!

I am particularly happy about what he said on landing. India and Indians can do anything. we are not to be taken lightly. We are on to The Indian century. Yet we must not stray away from the path shown to us by our great leader Mahatma Gandhi, of peace, truth and non-violence.

Also, it was a very good strategy to have made the option to come back than to risk further heights, having accomplished the record. ASI did a great job there.

God bless India and Indians.

It's just the beginning....It's an inspiration to reach higher....and higher....till we break free from the petty bondings...which holds us back to be true humanbeing...
