Adidas and Nazi Regime !
by Guest on Jan 27, 2009 08:59 PM

Apparently, apartheid politics did not influence Nazi regime, consider the first athlete that adidas sponsored by was black (Jesse Owen) ...

Meanwhile in US at that time, he was unacceptable in every white man society...
Compare with, he was superstar when he race in berlin, public loves him..

Jesse Owen himself respect Hitler, when he insist that Hitler did not snub him, for the first time, he felt being appreciate by someone.

I first learned of this Fabulous Story from Marco... Adi's grandson, I visited him in Munich shortly after he left the US where he was bettering his English.,and Never felt more like a pricess! Hi to mom and bauxi, the dog! Adi chose that name because his real name was Adolph... He did not want to be called Adolph as everyone hated HITLER at that time. Every time I see Adidas or Puma I think of two boys hand making shoes and am saddend how now it is nothing but a china factory mill. I saw the old factory where the shoes use to be made in Germany and it was just erie thinking about the war and deaths at that time. Adi use to make shoes out of sea bags for the soldiers. The family's fortune is now owned by stock holders. I believe Steve Wynn, last I saw owned 70% of the stock. Thank YOU ADI and RUDOLF (puma) Dassler for working so hard to create something so beautiful! Such a beautiful inspriation for all of us who only imagine our dreams. botox702ageless@yahoo.com
