F1 being screwed
by Akbar on Jun 22, 2005 03:31 PM

FIA President Max Moseley has decided to screw up F1 for personal interest and/or politics. He came up with a weird idea of a single tyres per weekend under the pretext of "cutting costs." He should rather leave it upto the teams to decide how they would want to cut their costs.
All rules made by them are to curb the dominance of Ferrari. But they are putting to risk the safety of drivers. Kimi was lucky enough to survive the crash in Europe but i wonder who would be spared in Monza in a high speed crash.
Moral: He should drop the rule of a single set of tyres per weekend. This would ensure driver safety and also what happened in US.

Only to blame is Michelen Tyres for the same. Read the quote below.

Regarding the potential insertion of a chicane, Whiting stated: To change the course in order to help some of the teams with a performance problem caused by their failure to bring suitable equipment to the race would be a breach of the rules and grossly unfair to those teams which have come to Indianapolis with the correct tyres.
