We wish our sub-juniors all the very best as they graduate in the senior categories as time goes by. In the not so distant past our country had some dazzling stars on the Asian circuit who brought laurels to the country with their epic battles against some of the top names of their time. Pune boys Sujay and Kishore Ghorpade, Ajay Sidhaye, Sunil Babras and their seniors like Vilas Menon, Manjit Dua, Kamlesh Mehta and so many others from Delhi, Baroda, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkota and Karnataka enthralled us with their crafty mixture of forehand, backhand and top spin. Time and again in their heydays Sujay Ghorpade and Kamlesh Mehta provided us with skill-filled marathon rallies in the older version of Table Tennis. These men had won enormous respect for their abilities on the international front too. We wish our current National Champions from the male and female categories all the very best as they prepare themeslves to emulate the extraordinary deeds of the famous Indian TT masters ahead of them. There is plenty of rich talent for TT in our country and the Table Tennis Federation of India can definetely count on our upcoming youngsters to serve the country with further distinction.
