Mr. Gill may have been good in shooting terorists but should understand that Hockey is a different shooting game. A person of his calibre and experience questioning the commitment of a player like Gagan Ajit or the ex olympians shows very clearly that he is not a visionary leader but a perosn prone to his moods of whims and fancies. all the best for Indian Hockey and may the God save the game in India.
KPS Gill is treating Indian Hockey as his personal fiefdom. How much of Hockey he has played or knows is anybody's guess.Definately, Hockey is a different ball-game than encountering Terrorists in Punjab. But trigger-happy Gill is treating all players as terrorists and shooting from his hip. If he has any respect for the National game, he should leave the field before he is red-carded. Why doesn't he own responsibility for India's dismal performance, and quit picking-up on players like Gagan ( rem'ber his goals against Pak in the league for Champions last time?)and Pillai! If Dhanraj Pillay's playing days are over how could he still score in 1st division matches...? in that case, what about Mr Gill's retirement...? he can very well sit at home and spend time with his grand children instead of playing spoilsport in Indian Hockey. Indian Hockey is ruined because of Mr Gill only.
I don't understand why this tainted police cop is president of IHF, he has been running this organization like president Musharraf (Autocrat), making changes on their like's and dislikes, we need totally new names in IHF administration who understand hockey not the terrorist's and police forc. I hope sports authority interfere's and corrects the wrong doing of this cop's team.
We should never treat the hockey players with insult as given to Dhanraj Pillay and Gagan.
the only reason for Indian hockey doing bad is Gill heading it. He may have been a great police chief. But he has no business heading hockey. In order to save Indian hockey and the hundreds of players who dedicate their whole lives and shed blood and sweat, KPS Gill has to be fired and it should be ensured that people like him have nothing to do with hockey.
