It was heart warming to read about schumacher,s gesture . he has proved not only he is a great champion he is a great human being also.this largest donation by an individual & apart from this through his team he has collected million,s more goes on to prove what a great individual can do.. though i was never a big fan of his but after this great gesture he is an icon for me .its a slap on the face of our own so called demi-gods who make tons of money but cant part with even a small amount to serve the humanity. i hope tendulkar & company gets a message , none of them have uttered a word of sympathy or shelled a penny out of their own pockets all they have promised is play matches.the great Kapil Dev was promoting his own restarant & promising to dance with everybody who so ever comes to his hotel for the celebrations, remind them the public is taking note.
The gesture of all other sports clubs is also endearing , i guess the richest cricket board in the world could have given a lot more & they too woke up only when a lot of other boards had all ready made the donation accouncements.
thank u Schumacher for showing the light to our own disgraced so called demi-gods.

Our sportsmen especially CRICKETERS should learn a lesson from Michael Schumacher.
Instead of playing and collecting public money for the relief works, they should set examples by donating from their personnel accounts.
All leading players are crorepatis and can donate easily few lakhs.
Let this message be taken in right spirit and if possible, could be made ALOUD.

Schumacher donates $10 million

Long Live such good people, especially from the West whom we otherwise consider quite selfish. Its time for some well-off Indian sports personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupati etc. to contribute for the sake of victims.

Shumi.... a real hero!
by deepti on Jan 05, 2005 12:17 PM

Its a very generous thing for Schumi to do!!!His kind gesture is really worth an appreciation.
Maybe the "over-rated heroes " of the over-rated game of India can learn a thing or two.
They need to grow out of the auctioning stuff for charity method!!!
Schumi Kudoas to you.
