change of rules for F1
by Akshay Parchure on Oct 12, 2005 03:46 PM

changing the rules for the qualifying rounds is a good move since conditions differ for each qualifying lap as we have seen in japanese grand prix how ralph had optimum conditions, but i am not happy with the regulations regarding the tyres since it becomes risky after a few 100kms.

by raj gaikwad on Jun 10, 2005 07:32 PM

i think the new tyre rule is just gone reduce the safety of the drivers, the eg. being that happened with Kimi in the german gp. where he was just an helpless passenger in an on object which went out control at a speed of 300k.

how could a tyre last more than 100kmph at the continous speed of 320k's and above,,,,,,the fi bosses should think about it as it can limit the driver's capability,

rubbish
by poindexter on Mar 13, 2005 05:28 PM

i think the new rules are rubbish, if you cant apply the rules equally to everyone, the race will no longer be fair. example, someone qualifies 1st and replaces an engine will lose 10 places on the starting grid, someone who qualifies 19th on the grid and changes his engine will start 20th...how is that fair. also take note of the BAR's that didnt finish australia and can now use new engines. you may see that the entire field after the points will not finish the race just so they can start the next race with a new engine. The sooner the big teams start their own championship, the better. Bernie Ecclestone should retire and let the Formula One remain the Pinnacle of motor racing.

Why this tyre's have the restriction.....?
by Vallabh Kulkarni on Mar 05, 2005 03:46 PM

Why the tyre's should have restriction..?
We tyres cannot last for full race...So this may cause slipping and all other sorts of accidents....F1 Commitee should take the safety factor into account also....this actually makes a benefit to the ferrari so low teams like minardi jaguar...others will be depressed more..." So they have messed up in this.."

F1 changes in 2005 move in the right direction
by chetan naik on Feb 15, 2005 12:29 PM

hi ,

reading these changes was really heartning, With all the fantastic technology used in the sport though it is boon to the motorworld considering the fact that most of the advancements are used in F1 are later adapted to the commercial vehicles, it still took out the charm out of racing since it was more of a money race.

The drivers at F1 are arguably the best lot in the world, but money power made this differece in drivers as big as the mount everest.

First time after so many years I am hoping that fans would actually see races between the drivers. hoping it would make the season very very intersting.

But being a die hard Schumi fan I still think it would be very hard to beat him, I am counting on Renault to give ferrari run for their money.

To add to the interseting season ahead we have our own Naraian racing in his debut season.Good luck to him too, May the sport be the winner.

Thanks chetan
