Im sick of the sycophants!

C'mon! Yes, Sania Mirza is probably India's best Tennis export but by no means does she have what it takes to "reach the top".

Honestly, your writers are no different from those other journatlists who prefer to sensationalize just about anything to get more hits on their website or disperse misinformation among the mis-informed.

Agreed, the nation should be proud of Sania's achivements as she is definetly the first Indian who reached the 3rd round of the Australian Open. And yes, she is extremely talented. But please DO NOT write about her like you would write of an actor whom you praise high and mighty one day, touting them to be the next Sharukh Khan, and then are quick to crticise them after they release their first movie.

Until Sania Mirza consistently beats women in the top 20 like Sharapova, Serena,Venus or even Patty Schnyder no self-respecting sports writer should try to be a fortune teller! She might eventually reach the top for all you know but it still is irresponsible journalism to hype about her so much right now.

Hope this makes any difference.
-Omar

Over Publicity will ruin a champion's ambitions.

Dear Mr.Imran/Mr.Bhupathi,
Iam following sania game very closely and very proud of her acievements..but my request is please overreact and overdo things..you must appreciate after all she has reached only 3rd round and there are many more to go..please help her have her feet in the ground...if not take it from me next time would be tough time..i know its hard but its important to be focussed..Unfortunately indian have been only ambitious ,not many have realised what it takes to convert ambition into reality..
Good Luck

Hii my friend Mr. Rajappa......i am also very much with you when you say that people in India over-react things....they take it to the zenith and then push things down from there....but whatever you say, Sania has done something which we should be proud of and encourage her...if she is clever enough then she will take this media hype lightly and concentrate in her game and i am sure she is the beauty with the brains...and i hope with upcoming tenis fever we see many more like her and also like Leander Peas, Bhupathi, etc playing for India..wishing all of them the very Best..Imran
