Indians are hopeless
by Manbir Grewal on Dec 26, 2005 10:21 AM

I hope you saw the matches. Vikram pilllay wass hopeless. Vinay was clueless and Arjun Halappa is of no use.Gagan anyways is nothing short of a big fool.I would rate the only decent performances coming from Bharat Chettri , Tushar, Kanwalpreet and Rajpal Singh.

India not in any class
by Sudarshan on Dec 23, 2005 02:07 PM

AA Cariappa writes about hockey...a sport most indians who can read, write and or think have forgotten...he writes about chettri, singh, tirkey, ekka etc...people who at best belong to the marginal class in society...

Why does he believe that this bunch of jerks will ever amount to anything other than a set of people one would employ to mow a cricket ground.

India must look for adaptabilty before skill
by wilfred on Dec 23, 2005 01:49 AM

Indians, where are they, they are still in old days dribbling & slow pace.Indians must try to adapt what aussies or dutch did. There are major concerns for india in the following depts.
1)lack of pace which can match the opposition( pak players have more comparible pace with dutch, ger and aus).
2)Sticking on to the players from whom performacnce is still expected which they never did(like ignace never had pace & skill).
3)Politics shown in selection(all north indian players especially from punjab which was due presence of GILL ).
4)Poor strategies and management frmom the coach and manager.
5)Lack of adaptibity(like what dutch and other reams have done when indians were champions in the past before 1980).
Overall it's shame to indian hockey which invented hockey and now reached the position par below others.
If this is the case with hockey i canot imagine about soccer.
