Indian Hockey

Iam sure once again there is going to be much brow beating about how one person is ruining Indian Hockey. While little bit of that might be true. The cruel fact of the matter is that this team or for that matter any Indian hockey team does not deserve to win.

The federation can do only so much when the quality of players it gets is so pathetic. Indian hockey is a show case for reservation gone wrong. We get only tribals and other so called backward communities who have no passion for the game or even the acumen or the skill.

It is like giving a AK 47 to a crazy man and expecting him to win a war.

If we compare hockey to cricket we can clearly see that more and more cricketers are people who could have opted for anyother career and would have succeeded equally well there. They play for the passion, the money and the glamour all three that are lacking in hockey.

If Indian hockey has to go anywhere, the federation needs to invest monies into becoming the strongest governing body across the hockey world and Mr Gill should be like Mr Dalmiya feared and respected by all hockey administrators across the world.

What an amazing achievement by the Indian hockey team! they won a match in the Rabobank tournament! The organizers must award them a special medal for this alone! Kudos to the Indian hockey team for making us all proud!

sack all non performers and let youngsters take the lead, as it is we are loosing, maybe with youngsters we might just strike the right balance.
