Kimi is the most unfortunate & simply the best
by Sam on Sep 10, 2004 11:46 PM

From the start of 2002 season itself I believed that Kimi is the only driver who can challenge Michel & Ferrari. The Belgian grand prix proved it beyond doubt. He is certainly a much gifted driver than Michel and simply the best in the business. But he is the most unfortunate too. Mclaren's reliability problmes always ruin his chances. In the last 4 seasons Michel won always with Rose brown's strategies & and he gets more favours from his team when compared to Rubens. In most of his wins he never overtook a single driver. That is where Kimi shines. He scores points by his breathtaking driving style even in an inferior machinery.

The Happy-Sad Mclaren Saga-2004
by Shiva on Sep 07, 2004 09:42 PM

Well it was a sweet Fin-Mclaren victory, which is more than a silver lining to their probably worst season of their history. But as the previous person said what IF Kimi had this particular car from word go. UNfortunately none existed. So disastrous were the cars, that finish was out of question. It was a bad reversal of fortunes from last year, that two of leading contenders for constructors championships are struggling at 4th and 5th places. BAR and renault seem good only because the other two are at their dismal worst. It would have to been seen that once Williams and Mclarens are back to their best of challenging and winning the top podium step, how high can the BARs and Renaults finish. With all due respect to them, their pace is not good enuf to challenge the Scarlets. Other than a twisty no overtaking track.

A few more IFs
by Rohan Mathew on Sep 06, 2004 11:08 AM

Well, here goes. What IF the safety car hadn't come out with over 15 laps left and the Iceman leading by over 15 seconds from Schumacher? The answer - a comfortable win for the Flying Finn.

Another big IF. What IF McLaren had given Raikkonen this car to begin with? Considering that he was just 2 points short of the German last year, and that, too, in an inferior car (a modified version of their 2002 car), the answer might not be that difficult to figure out.
