If you do not know about Dhanraj Pillay please do not talk garbage. He played in this olympics because he had the pride to play for India even after the treatment he received from IHF.
His name did not feature in the list of probables at all for Olympics. Had he been in any other country the world would be saying Dhanraj would be one of the best forwards any body can see.
Dhanraj better start concentrating in his job(hockey,cricket or kabbadi),learn to keep his mouth shut,obey instructions of seniors,coaches and respect contemporaries,not bother about the earnings of others(including Sachin`s),follow the well known mantra for Winning--Teamwork and Discipline.
Dhanraj :it doesn`t matter for a Sportsman the game he plays;as long as he doesn`t play games.
hi dhanaraj pillay answer is very correct, we indian goverment & the sponser give good benfict to the indian cricketer, if india lost the match they are treat as a royal person, Not for the indian hockey team. It is a very bad, to see the treament which indian goverment is giving.
why are these leeches in charge ? jaganmohan dalmiya, kpsgill... and such leeches ,making merry at the nations cost. if the team loses, the plyers are made to pay, or the coaches. but NEVER the likes like gill and dalmiya. who are actually the ones who play all the games (not on field though).
Hi, India hockey seem to be best team in the world. Now a days looking at the performance of the team. I feel very shameful about it. Player like Dhangraj and other senior Player had not taken any responsibility in any of the matches in Olympic. They should the key between Coach and a new Player. Instead of taking reponsibility of losing matches bcos of their bad play. Now a blaming game started coach is new or not good and Mr. gill is not proper to handles IHF etc etc. Senior Player should retire from the service give a chance to new talent under the new coach.
I dont understand what is dhanraj pillay upto !! Sometimes he says they lost because of Coaches, because of IHF chief, because of the system etc .Then he is saying that He will play cricket, He will ask his son not to play Hockey..why so much noise?? He and other players should accept or atleast share the responsibility for the dismal performance.. Anyway, I think it's not just his fault, we Indians are good at giving excuses. We talk a lot but remain at the bottom.A winner never does that, If we really want to become a super power we have to have that killer attitude..
Hi Folks !!! i feel Pillay is just showing his frustration ...we all saw how incompetent he was during Athens ..He seems to have mastered the Blame Game..as far as cricket is concerned he shall understand he was playing hockey this long beacuse Hockey doesnt have much media attention or bright stars ..like CRICKET Has!!!! Had he been playing cricket he would have been out of Team, after first series Only.... This is personal observation so dont generalize it ..& its not meant to Insult Pillay afterall He played for India so long !????????????????????????????????????????
who is this gill regarding the hockey? We must respect him for his service in police but i he has nothing to do with hockey. I strongly believe that the people who played the game should represent the board.Those who r not played any game they should not be in the board. Take the indian cricket board, the 'Dalmia' gang acting like a mafia in indian cricket. What he has done for cricket? He has his own business to do then y he truns to cricket. Becaus eof the quick money he is getting as a bribe for TV rights. He and the other business men should be removed from the board.

Farely speeking a guy from rural area like myself, hearde abt hockey and have some interest in hockey beacuse of the playes like 'Pillay' he is the hero.He must beright, if he paid the same dedication and hard work on cricket , he woudld fare ahead of sachin and miles ahead of ganguly. SHAME TO THE INDIAN HOCKEY FEDERATION AND TO GILL for trying to humiliaate the vetern like this.
