By winning the Belgian Grand Prix, Kimi has proven that he's the best answer to Michael's dominance of F1. If not for McLaren's poor car earlier this season, make no mistake Kimi would have given Michael a real run for his money (and the title of course).
The author seems to be overly enthusiastic about the win for Mclaren. He seems to forget all the wins of Ferrari and most 1-2 positions for them. However F1 needs wins like this to be a popular sport. The race was exciting. We can just hope there would be some competition for Schumi and Co. Otherwise with just only one win this season that too so late, one cannot say that Mclaren will be a stiff competition for Ferrari...
i think after the retirement of Mika hakkinen there is no one as a threat to michael and michael nows that his main rival and the threat Mika is no more racing so he doesnt have anyone one to fear.Any way kimi is showing some sign of a threat to michael and only if his consitency reamins.
Well well well.. kimi did race spectacular.. but that just is not the way to measure who is better... to do what micheal has done is something stellar... Kimi is great.. but the difference between him and micheal..he is not a genius... WE shall see Kimi winning world championships soon in the future.. but just that he would be clad in scarlet red dress ;-)
Even Michael would had the same fate; if his car underperformed during this season. But one thing is certain. The only driver in present list to challenge Michael/Ferrari is Kimi/McLaren. This was already in my calculation and it has proved this weekend.
The article lacks insight, this is because just by winning a race in 2004 Kimi cant challenge Michael's dominance. Its futile to make such a profound statement when the reality shows that Michael has won 12 out of 14 races! It will take quite sometime for Kimi to dream....
