Dhanraj Pillay's exclusion from the olympic probables squad is exposing what is going on aat the highest level in Indian hockey . In the name of finding the best talent the I H F has managed to destroy a team which was looking to be heading towards the top place in the world. It is posing a big question infront of us . Is the performance of the team that is important or the egos of the team managent and the selectors.
I think this is the most SHOCKING decsion that could have happened to Indian Hockey or Indian Sports.Just when you think India is regaining her position as a Hockey Super power,what do you hear Pillay,Dhillon & Saini are dropped.Shocking that people as senior as Mr.Kalmadi have to point out the selection flaws to Mr.Rajinder Singh/Mr.Gill.WAKE UP RAJINDER.This is not an issue to settle personal vendettas and equations.Merit and experience have to be respected irrespective of player origin or zonality. Envious team mates who are ever ready to pull down senior team mates or personal equations with jealous juniors is no criteria for Rajinder to damage the Nation's interests .Besides that may be a cover up for hiding his personal displeasure of Pillai's growing success which was evident from him hurting Pillai's interests few seasons back with the Banning Player from Briefing Press Incident.Obviously there is a difference between a Captain and the rest of the team.Rather than reprimanding juni.No body should mess with players who have done so much for Indian Sports ,sacrificed their lifes for the Nations' glory.There is too much at stake.Wake up all you Indians before it gets too late
I am bewildered by the decsion taken by the IHF with regards to Dhanraj Pillay; This man has been a driving for the for the team and we have seen that the team needs him as their backbone, when playing major opposition. Are we intending to win the gold at the Athens games or lose in the early stages. I hope that this exclusion of Pillay is rectified quickly.
DHANRAJ is better than any other player on the INDIAN team no matter how young he is...Whenever he takes the field he is playing for INDIA.This is the kind of motivation we need.Please get him on the team.He is to be there if WE need the GOLD. ...............................HARMAN
