A pathetic performance in the tournament, though we managed to qualify for Athens. Can't imagine Canada, lying at the bottom of the table, scoring 4 goals against us. The defence was horrendous. And our midfield was even worse. Sani is a mere spectator in all the matches, and he still gets picked for all the matches. Looking at him, the entire team will get demoralised. Such a pale and feeble look, and absolutely sloppy in the field.
Without any penalty corner specailist, I dread to think of the scorelines playing against Pakistan, Holland, Germany, Netherlands, and the rest in Athens.
Congrats india but i felt we missed jugraj sing other wise we could have beaten pakistan also but game is game and there will be many more encounters to come in future hope for the best
India, needing to qualify for men's hockey??? India, which was synonymous with field hockey today has to qualify for olympics! What a change in fate!!!! Well, thats different that the field changed from ground to astroturf, but still the essence and the spirit shouldnt, lets maintain the same spirit which was shown during the Afro-Asian games. Let us say proudly that Hockey is our National game!
opponant. and they themself could not convert the corners into the goal it clearly indicates that we have lost the lion of the attacker i.e. dhanraj also there is a lot of misunderstanding between the players .
i suppose that each and every player of the indian side wants to make the goal which should be make by himself
india may reach the semi finals but it has to improve its defence. if india continued to concede so many goals then it will be difficult for them ahead in the tournament & in the athens olympics also.
