It is with bod sad and anger that i am writing this article that due to politics of rest of team and rajinder singh the best player of india has been left out.Indian hockey is not in great shape that we can afford to loose players like Dhanraj.If this continues then again as usual in Olympics Indian will find themselves fighting for 7th -8th spots.The time is to bury there personal differences and try to play for nation as a whole
The dismal perforamnce cant be overlooked despite india scrapping through two matches(which they cud have easily lost) against two not so good teams.Any possible reasons in sight??? definitely the first to strike my mind is the controversy surrounding the omission of dhanraj pillay,it definitely is a dampner not for dhanraj but for the morale of the team aswell, the team is obviously is missing the never say die athlete who wears his emotions on his sleeves. all i can wish and pray as an ardent of indian hockey is india to do well even in his absence.
