hi!i think my saying is on the verge of becoming true in the opinion poll i ticked greece to be the winner and they are almost on the threshhold of becoming.
Greece have shown that if 11 players plays like one team they can even upset the Greats and this is what happened. France didn't even scored in the world cup earlier and in this tournament they struggled to play with Chechs too. when the Hand of God saved them from losing the mathc but this time round the Greek Gods themselve beat them..
We have seen that most of the Big-Name teams were ousted in early round itself such as Germany,Spain,Italy than England and now France.
In fect its only the Big name players they have in their side but no use of them. People are so crazy about David Bechham of England but practically he is useless and have no such great great game.He missed 3 penalties,not scored a single goalin entire tourney, So now we must see that either he is really so Great or simply Media puts him on top not his Game.
Congratulations to the Greeks. Their brand of football is very refreshing. They deserve to be in the next round. This unexpected Greek wave is a factor which Portugal and Spain in the earlier rounds and now France could not check. Over the last two years the Greeks have played some attractive football in the qualification rounds. Historically the Greeks are known to have posed philosophical problems to the western world. Plato, Socrates and a host of others mesmerised the West with their world views and thought patterns concerning the individual, social and cosmic stuff. Sitting at home the Greeks could conquer the western mind. The current Greek footballers have gone out in the open and are conquering team after team in a very pleasing manner. Coaches of the defeated teams realise that such Greek lessons are difficult to comprehend. They have to study their Greek all over again. We salute the Greeks in their hour of glory and wish them well in the round to come. An encouraging run up to the Athens Olympics by the very founding nation of the Olympic movement.
