It's Steven Gerrard's mistake and not Beckham's. Beckham did all he could do. England midfielder Steven Gerrard could not hold his nerves in the last 10 seconds and passed ball back to goalkeeper without noticing Henry in the box. And even the freekick awarded to France was due to a mistake of England attacker Heskey who is not a very good defender, he brought down French player from behind in the 90th minute of the game when there were another two England defenders in front.
England just could hold their nerves in the last minutes otherwise they played superbly.
