IHF is known for it's whimsical ways. Wonder why is that the Govt which foots the bill does not question such moves which can only have a negative impact.

Its time that KPS Gill himself should get the boot !

Sacking of hockey trainer.

I have never understood the chopping and pruning that goes on in Hockey contingent. It doesn't do any good to the morale of the team. The officials simply want to indulge in the ego games at the cost of the players and the team. It is high time people forced KPS Gill to step down.......

Unable to understand the way IHF works
by sateesh on Jun 02, 2004 02:08 PM

I am following hockey related activities from past few months when they win two-three trophies. I am unable to understand recent developments. not listing senior players in probable list. pressure from media and other sport persons. then inclusion of them. then not taking trainer to US. I feel there exist lot of mis understanding among IHF, players, coaches, trainers. If this is the situation expecting medal in hockey at athens will be foolishness. if same things continue, indian hockey won't see the past glory.

Don't we see a Kerala connection between the Management and the retained trainer?

Sacking of trainer

Every decision of the IHF is baffling. There seems to be an anarchial way of functioning as far as the IHF is concerned.Porfessionalism is definitely amiss in the IHF and invariably one can find the IHF in the news for wrong reasons only. The Indian team delivers once in a while (The Asian games gold) not because of IHF but despite IHF
