Its nice for Indian Hockey - Sacking of Rajinder Singh..
by Sikha on Jul 20, 2004 01:15 AM

It was real good news for Indian Hockey lovers that Mr.Rajinder Singh has been sacked unceremoniously with immediate effect as Indian Hockey Coach. Now I am sure that Indian team will be without any politics and will play to its fullest strength.

He had allways showed lot of disrespect to senior players and caused embarasing moments to Indian Hockey.

Hope, he is never entertained in the field of Indian hockey.

IHF sacks coach Rajinder Singh

It would seem that the IHF as a body is pretty arbitrary in its functioning.

First it was the public spat between manage and captain at the airport.

Second was the arbitrary exclusion of Dhanraj Pillay from the pre-olympic probables.

And now this. I am not sure who is in the wrong and who is in the right. Because, frankly, I am not such an avid follower of Indian Hockey.

But I can certainly state one point -- this entire sequence of events reeks of arbitrariness and power play.

thank god!

Thank God the 'dividing' sardar is done away with. This is one of the very few good decisions the IHF has taken, the other ones being the decision to drop Dhanraj and Baljit(but wat use is a good decision, if it is reverted due to public pressure).
hope this Rajinder free indian team, puts up atleast a mediocre display in this olympics.

Hockey tragedy

How about sacking Mr. Gill for once !! If the coach can be fired if he does not deliver, how about sacking Mr. Gill. He has not delivered anything in last so many years.

IS he above all this? IS it not time he share some blame about bad management and policies?

Goodbye Rajinder!

Excellent decision by IHF,even though the decision is too late. Even Gill has to go. Now the players can concentrate on hockey and not petty partisan politics that Rajinder incited among the players. This team is mediocre and if they reach the semi-finals it will augur well for the team. If Rajiinder had been the coach, India would have finished at the bottom place which is 12th. As for Rajinder I hope he perishes and never sets foot in the IHF again. Adios Rajinder! Good Luck team India.
