Czech football appears majestic and dazzling just like the picturesque city of Prague !

Coach Karel Brueckner put up a team that exhibited all the grace, dynamism and beauty that one comes across in their country and in their historic city of Prague. Elegant play, speed, creativity, smooth easy flowing goal bound moves made this team led by Pavel Nedved the darling of the crowds wherever they played in Portugal. Few or almost none thought the Czechs would ever be eliminated from Euro 2004 after their stunning performance against the Dutch where they snatched a memorable victory from the jaws of defeat. Baros, Poborsky, Nedved, Koller and the rest created waves the type of which one can see on a weekend evening at the famous Sound and Light programme in the picturesque Bohemian city of Prague. The most attractive team at Euro 2004 played some breath taking football against all its opponents and got out in the least expected way. A silver goal in the final seconds of the last minute! This Czech team is great and will do well in the qualification rounds for the 2006 World Cup.
We appreciate their skills and thank them for the wonderful exhibition of top class football. In victory and defeat the Czech players won the hearts of millions through their dignified behaviour.
