India must not forget few basic things while thinking for such DREAMS.
1)Pathetic traffic structure,roadways and transporation system. 2) Inefficient and unenergetic government officials and departments. 3)Lack of social discipline and public awareness. 4) Weak infrastructure for the upliftment of game interest and average citizen health. 5) poorly planned cities . 6) No accountability system. well, if i keep adding into list its never ending. But in nut shell first india should compare itself with the countries who have a bid for such games,Bejing olyampics will invite world attention on this giant country for bussiness and investment, what they can see in india? Corruption?slums?pollution?political involvement in everything? Better india should work in other fields before thinking of to file their nomination for such international events,Rest world believes india plays only two things CRICKET and POLITICS.One must understand that atmosphere is required for the success of such events but not mere dreams and plans. Come and see what and how China is preparting for BEJING OLYMPIC'2008,after it still if Mr.Kalmadi thinks Indians can do it,go ahead....!
I think money and effort should be spent in getting our sportsmen prepared to win rather than this PR exrcise. When nations a small fraction of the size of ours win medals, we should be ashamed that we cannot. Now it is obvious why. The Kalmadi's are more intent on hosting than winning
