Suspension of Paul, goalkeeper
by Alex on Dec 10, 2004 04:21 PM

Suspension of the Mohun Bagan, goalkeeper looks like a action taken out of sheer force, since AIFF had nothing else constructive to be done.
Post-mortem reports of Junior has clearly stated the cause of Junior's death, moreover the match referee had not warned the goalkeeper.
Bhaijung Bhutia needs to keep his mouth shut, he should be reprimanded for making such baseless statements which is not expected of a person of his stature.
Paul's past performance, rough image etc have played a role in his suspension, the young goalkeeper should not be rough, should be fair in play etc

Do we still blame Subroto Paul
by Subhajyoti on Dec 10, 2004 03:58 PM

Many thanks for the bringing out the report.

Now, my question is what is the role of goalkeeper Subroto Paul?

Is he still held responsible for the act?

I think federation should roll-back the decision of his suspension.

God's knows the Best
by Antonette Rodrigues on Dec 10, 2004 02:34 PM

Dear Friends

As per the Victoria Hospital Forscenci Science reports
it is extertion matter. So I hv no words to say only "Gods' knows the truth". If Mr Subroto Paul has
committed this crime. He will never ever be at peace.
His own consicence will prick him up. No more will he be able to stand on the soccer grounds and kick the ball in future. Is career has ended forever.
The members of all the committee is soccer should be very strick with Mohan Bagan or suspend them in participating any matches for next 5 years. So that this will be a lesson for all players of any team
throughout India in future. How did the police allow
Mr. Subroto Paul to leave for his home town they should have kept him in custody for attacking such a crime.

Anyway I wish our brethern Cristino De Lima
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE and my heartfelt sympathy
to his breaved family.

My earnest request to the Chair person at Dempo to take up this matter very seriously. Not only to this particular incident of this player. If you carefully
observe and note it down from the records, so many players have been injured during the match in semi or final, down the years gone by.

Subrata exonerated...
by Minakshi. on Dec 10, 2004 02:16 PM

Christiano had an accidental death.I think the Post Mortem report will exonerate Subrata once and for all.
He should be given another chance to play-- the bad mouthing in the Media have given Subrata no chance to voice his opinions. Moreover Subrata's father should give his son an opportunity to prove his mettle again...
Minakshi.
