Our Indian media has the potential to get its priorities right !

Sports and games like hockey, football, cricket and so on require a very healthy body and an intensely creative and constructive mind to meet the challenges posed by the opposition and to set challenges for its opponents. Sports is to be seen as LIFE in full flow and not a compromise or some acting like in other fields. Often our coaches, spotspersons and their mentors know much more about their discipline than spectators and persons in the media. Jounalists and reporters need not turn their guns on the sportspersons who try to entertain us with their abilities. Negative contribution from the media can be a great distraction which can affect the feelings and emotions of the performers leading to loss of confidence and accumulation of defeats. Moreover negative reporting can be a tool in the hands of the opposition. Stigmatising our players and making them look as disabled persons put on the stage to display their handicaps need not really be the role of our media. There are enough injustices, wrong doings, wars and other man made calamities and natural disasters which need immediate attention. Our sportspersons need to be encouraged through our positive writings and our blessings !
