Corporate Sponsorship! Do any of the home grown corporations think of sponsorship or give back to the community, Well apparently not, example Bangalore Hi-Fliers.
Bangalore Hi-Fliers, the hockey team representing Bangalore, the IT hub of the nation and HQ of IT biggies like Infosys and Wipro didn't have a sponsor during the league. Would it harm an IT company to have their logo on the jerseys of Hi-Fliers and show that they do take pride in Bangalore and anything Bangalore stands for? Of course Hi-Fliers have nothing to do with IT but did represent Bangalore and were part of league which is trying to revive public interest in the national game. This was great chance for IT companies to show that they were much more than IT.
Corporations in the West have been doing this since long and its time for our own home grown organizations to think beyond results!
