Politics should be avoided during the selection. I think we should be more physically fit to play hockey. Just when I was seeing the match against Australia. We played infact well, but the speed we could not compete with them. They surround us completely and plugged the ball from our players who were helpless. Coach can only give ideas, he cannot go and play there, only players has to come up.
Pillay should not blame the coach, its team which has not performned, Even John Wright who initially started was also failed and then put everything in right, Germans are more fast and optimistic, they will train us very well in future
It is very sad to see indians come up with a dismal performance again.what will the coach do if forwards cant trap the ball.Anyhow the Indians lack pacy game like the ones the aussies the germans and dutch posses .They pass accurately and play as a unit and convert half chances to goals that is the sign of a team in form.Well baljit is cooking up a story again for his excuse.
I always look forward to our national sport with great expectations. I fail to understand why we cannot sit and listen to what the coach is telling and instead putting our own head into what needs to be done. We have hired Mr. Gerhard Rach for his professionalism. We shoul give him some time and leverage to make an impact.

well it is well known that the coach is as good as the team. in this case the team that never was has no claim to fame. in any case the decision of the IHF to sack rajinder singh and bringon Rach is as stupid as it can get. india has a history of failure at major tournaments and that was it, poor thing dhanraj always ends up with his foot in his mouth. i dont think it was a bad performance it was just saddening to see india loose
Rach u r 200% correct.It is time we throw out players like Baljit and Prabjot from team.I have seen all matches of India from last olypics to present.Prabjot doesn't have skills --both trapping and dribbling past defender.Whenever he recieves ball in the D circle he makes a mess.His shooting skills are wayward.He should first learn how to trap the ball first then start behaving like an expert.
About Baljeet,Gill was right.He should have never been in the team in the first place.Only some stupid part time sports journlists and TV channles NDTV and AAj Tak made a fuss about him not in the team prior to olympics tournment.He failed India.Most time Baljit played he was against other team instead of India against other team.
