We loose because our sportsmen & women hardly get any financial assistance for their efforts either from the govt.or from privatepromoters.Secondly, they are hardly practice except during the last few months of Olympics.Thirdly and most important thing they donot take proper medicines to keep their body fit according sport's practioner. DONOT SEND THEM TO OLYMPICS ,IF DURING TRIALS, THEY ARE ANYWHERE NEAR OLYMPIC STANDARDS.Lsatly, give those who qualify enoug grants to continue to practice.
It was a disastrous performance.Sack KPS Gill and all the foreign coaches.Put Indian Olympians in charge or coaches who are ex-olympians.If Pak can play fast attacking hockey, why are we imitating western style?Complete shake-up urgently wanted.
"But, here, the others are teasing any ordinary Indian walking on the streets. Is it because we come from a poor and third world country?" These were the wsentences from PT USHA's article.
I cant imagine even these days somebody like her commenting. I ask her what reply did she give when she heard those teasing words. These things happen whether we r right or wrong we swallo those words. That has been our culture to bare it silently. If the Indian continget were together and were confident that no mistake happend. They should have appealed made this a big issue. As of me I dont blame the atheletes. The Olyimpic system itself is doubtful.
Ms Usha, With all due regards i would like to put fwd a lil of my thoughts. 1. You said the authorities are to be blamed for the doping things by saying that are you trying to say that our athelets dont know what they are being fed..are they kids being fed by there coaches...excuse me iam not willing to take this one... 2. next you said you were satisfied with a performance of the two athelets who are placed 20+ now if anyone of these are able to get a gold would you die of exitement...looks like.. 3. i truly understand that the coaches arent good, the academies are not of international class and the players are too taken up about there forth coming lives but how would you justify a performance where we are not able to get into the finals....does that mean we dont have it in us...or we are not willing to give our best.. finally what JJ shobha did on tracks y'day was one show which as an Indain i would like to give a full salute...she deserves a standing ovation and she has set an example for all others to try and give something more then "THEIR BEST"... but please for heaven sake STOP JUSTIFYING A PERFORMANCE WHICH IS NOT ABLE TO GET A BERTH IN THE FINALS....is anyone listenin
Our society became spoiled by degenerating its value and customs from bottom to top level. Corruption is on the highest crime in our country which includes almost all politicians, judiciaries, bureaucrats, doctors, intellectuals, teachers, engineers etc. etc.
We are not astonished with the sports stars at all ! How do you expect the athelet to be honest? let us make it by changing the present system. sunil

Stop blaming dude if you think you can change the system go ahead and take the responsibility but dont give me gyan about the way these players perform at the international arena...are they kids that they dont know that they are being fed by their coaches. After every doping scandals th player said he/she didnt had any idea what he/she was fed by their coach!!! funny enough... and tell me how would you justify a performance which did not get a seat in finals even leave the medals...nothing dude its all a waste of our hard earned money.... the one who are tax payers give these losers a chance to go and come 1 2 or 3 FROM THE END.... think about it...
when the whole country is filled with corrupt poltician, unscrupulous sport officials ,how do you expect the athelet to be honest. let us make it legal
