Hockey row

Though the recent public row / public sentimental display at Chennai airport is unhealthy for the sport, the media should focus not on such negative issues at this time of felicitation. Allow the players to have some moments of glory after their winsome hard work. Do not our cricketers get glory and all media attention even when their performance is not worth mentioning? Indian Hockey team deserves much, though unfortunately it does not often get anything. Congrats and kudos to the Indian Hockey team that won the Asian cup. Have a great time ahead.

Hockey needs media attention

i think it is not fair on behalf of the coach to restrict the players from giving interviews etc. because as it is hockey is the step child of indian sports because of the publicity given to cricket. media coverage is very important for indiain hockey to flourish and it is only after media coverage that people came to know about the whereabouts of our national team. keen interest will be taken into the sport if there are updates about the teams performance and individual player profiles available in the media. thank you.

i think Pillay is a very senior player and a person towards whom junior players look for inspiration and guidance so whatever may be the case whether he is justified or not he must refrain from such incidents.he is a role model for juniors and they will follow his foot steps so he must act responsibly and create good example in front of juniors for the betterment of the game, differences,if any can always be sorted out in a congenial atmosphere
