Dear Rediff, I just want to ask one question why is every other game apart from cricket are receiving a step mother treatment in our country.It is the media which is responsible for rise or fall of the game.I am very much disappointed with the extent of coverage given to the emphatic win of our country on Pakistan. Had it been in cricket every tom dick and harry will say kudos to the team.If this kind of attitude goes on then the dooms day for the remaining sports will come soon.
I sincerely request the media to promote the sports other than cricket .WE are wasting a lot of productive hours in our country with almost whole of the country coming to a stand still with innumerable loss of working hours,which is a suicidal situation for a developing country like us.
I hope in the coming days a change in the scenario will take place and the media will start promoting games with a shorter duration.
It is hard fought win by Inidan. In the last 12 month India again shown imnense strength to overcome the arch rival phobya. The next target is Australia. Keep i up.
