boring kasparov??
by vaibhav on Jul 09, 2003 06:20 PM

There is only one answer to the claim that
kasparov is a boring player: the game kasparov-
topalov, wijk aan zee 1999 !! in fact, kasparov has
to be the greatest attacking player since alekhine.
anand is fantastic and its a pity that he is
kasparov's contemporary (as would be the case
for anyone but kramnik). a slightly different era
and he would have been the best player in the
world.

Anand will top 2800
by Sai Prasad on Jun 17, 2003 09:55 PM  | Hide replies

I have followed Anands career and I am sure that he will top 2800. The loss against Kasparov was just because he wasnt prepared in the openings. I think that Anand is the most exciting chess player today. Kramnik, Kasparov are have very boring playing styles. Noone is as exciting as Anand and hes the best rapid chess player in the world. Noone can challenge Anands superiority in rapid chess not even Kasparov!!

Kasparov is true champion
by kishore on Jun 13, 2003 11:02 AM

Dear Anand,
All said and done. The game against Deep Blue may have been rigged. But against you ?

He is a true champion, and you have not been able to dethrone the king. Accept the fact my friend !

Regards,
Kishore

Quality of Interviewers
by proloy on Jun 12, 2003 09:50 PM  | Hide replies

Just what the writer means by "After a bad year which saw him drop to world No. 2" ? When on earth WAS Anand No 1 in the world? For the last three years or so he has been number 3, and that is where he stays now. Before that too, he was only number 2 on ratings list.

These articles are often linked in various chess-sites of the world and make laughing stock of the chess-knowledge of our journalists.

Can't some more knowledgeable journalists be commissioned for the interviews?
