Prakash best indian player now!
by Erik on Sep 30, 2003 07:11 PM

Prakash is the best Indian player at this moment. I was his driver two weeks ago in The Netherlands Davis cup final agains India. Because I was his driver a few times, I saw some training games and ofcourse his game agains Sjeng Schalken Number 14 of the world. Yes, Sjeng beated him, but prakash played with everything he had. I think he is going to beat his dad. Why not?
And they are both(prakash and dad) very friendly.

Erik, Zwolle (Netherlands)

Is he an Indian?
by lucky_lak on Jun 13, 2003 01:48 AM

He never wanted to be as per one of his interviews.. And his game was pathetic in the US open 2002.. Don't bother putting articles on him.

by nutan on Jun 10, 2003 10:21 AM

Prakash,

Others start at the age of 9 years. What age did u start? should be 9 months since ur father and uncle both are tenis player, as the indian tradition goes, Father always want his son to adotp the same profession.

Its not easy to become a world class player. Accept the fact.

Interview: Prakash Amritraj
by Samir Das on Jun 09, 2003 10:54 PM

It was refreshing to read Prakash's interview. With a dad and coach like Vijay he is desined to go places. I like the quiet confidence as well as the charm which Vijay exuded. May he win Wimbledon which his father literally missed by a whisker--an overhead smash gone awry!
