Miles to go before.......
by Anirban Saha on Jul 25, 2003 08:32 PM

EB's march to the final of ASEAN football championships is a no nonsense indiacator to all those who believed in forgetting Indian football for good. The resurgence in the recent past has been spectacular.Kudos to Mr.Constantine and co. However, this is the highest of highs any Indian club has experienced, more would be expected out of Bhutias,Gawlis and Nandys if they were to stamp their presence on the global map.As rightly said "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.Long way to go. I wish EB the very best and god willing the ASEAN cup could well be coming home this time. Also, can we hear some news from corporates flashing neon lights on our heroes! Some moolah too.

Ahmed, why are you telling the Brahmashtra to go to Court ?
by chanakya on Aug 01, 2003 03:22 PM
The other day I was reversing the car in a narrow lane almost fully taken over by the bakaals - the vegetable vendors.

The unseen basket left in the middle of the road was about to be damaged. However, the car stopped as it did not need further reversing, and the bakaal, a bearded muslim gentleman, picked up the basket, and thumped the car hard with his fists.

When I told him why he is leaving the basket in the middle of the road he is telling me to go to the court and file a petition. What nonsense ??? I had kept my cool throughout, and with the same coolness, I got out of my car and approached him, and enquired of him why he was was so sore about such a small thing.

And the guy broke down. He said he was born on the road. The road is his home. I wiped the tears off his cheeks and consoled him that he too will have a home of his own if he worked hard.

Who is responsible for the plight of that man ?

Attn:brahmastra
look before you leap.
I found many request from the comments that muslims are not commenting on this issue ourcommentsarealways logic and practicalif muslims should go to Saudi arabia then where should the christians, sikhs, parsis, budhist GO.each and every community has its own religious constitution such as Brahmins does not eat non-veg.
As you mayknow that more than 65% of our population are non-vegitarian so we cannot say that all the indians are non-vegitarians, even in the defence forces our sikh community show their religious identity. Andtommorrow you may demand the removal their turbon, if you send them to punjab they may go but who will be the looser.
if we 18 crore muslims (official figures)need any changes we will raise in future.
ucc is not anissue between two parties
ucc is not anissue of national security, shariahis not harming any other community.or person
before expressing your aggression please go and find the advantages of shariah
if you find any difficulty with our shariah then please file a petition in court.
finally let me tell you a fact ucc was recommended by court not order

Muslims should stay in India and accept the UCC. Goa has UCC. But the problem is even if ordinary Muslim accepts UCC, their Clerics will not, for fear of losing the gullible muslim voter. That is how they say , In the case of Ayodhya, follow Supreme Court but in the case of UCC, don't !! And they are supported by the Pseudo-Secularists ( congress & Communits ), for fear of losing the gullible Muslim Vote !! The poor muslims are losers eitherway!God help India and Indian Muslims.
