It is important that hockey matches ( international matches which India plays) are broadcasted live in TV, atleast in doordarshan. Hockey is a very fast and interesting game I say, even though I am a cricket fan also. I have always watched hockey matches when they were telecasted live. If commericialized properly hockey can still become as popular as cricket in India. Would the Indian Government do something to promote its national game? If it can't what is the point in calling it as the national game. I appreciate all the Indian hockey players and acknowledge their showings because they are performing out of sheer passion for the game, as the money they get as salary for the matches they play is very less. Such passionate players would fare even better if people get a chance to watch their performance by live telecast. The very feel of being watched by lot of Indians would pep up our hockey players as well. Let us hope something good happens in this regard.
