The achievements of the Indian hockey team in last one year are not mean one...beating two power houses of recent times in their own backyards. That speaks of the dedication of this bunch of players and coaches, and stands as proof hockey is a sport Indians are naturally gifted at. The reasons- no high tech training facilties and no help of over paid physios, players are not very physically well-built contrary to those from Europe, and above all without sponsors for the team and very medicore jobs that players do to earn a living.
The nation should stand up to these heroes too...If it was cricket team who had shown a similar performance, the nation would have gone crazy...Come on Indians, cheer up for hockey like you do for cricket...maybe here we stand a better chance to become world beaters
You have proved that Cricket is not the only game played in India. Many congratulations to the complete team. But it's very unfortunate and sad to note that none of the TV channels have shown the images (forget live telecast) of matches played in Australia and in Germany. Now all the news channels are queuing to take interviews of these heroes. Anyway they will realize the mistake if you bring more such kudos. Congratulations once again.

Dhanraj and team - After seeing your dismal show at Champions Trophy I am ashamed to see hockey any more.
In the last three months,Indian Hockey Performance has been the best in 23 years.I cant recall our winning anythung quite so major,Involving teams like Pakistan,Holland ,Australia & Germany,after 1980.All credit goes to primality Dhanraj,who has remained the one geneuinely world class player throughout.I hope the authorities encourage the Indians with incentives,for this performance.
