There is no doubt that Martina has achieved an unbelievable feat at the age of 46,but full marks to Leander Paes who did his bit towards Martina's success.It is all the more creditable of Leander that he could accomplish what Todd Woodbridge or Paul Macnmee could not do when they had partnered the legend.And that too,to pull it off with Martina at the lion's own den,Todd Woodbridge's home court and under the watchful eyes of the tournament Director,Paul Macnmee.Leander Paes deserves kudos.
Martina Navratilova is the greatest female athlete ever bcoz she brought in a radical change in female sports history and was at that time called the FIRST bionic sportswoman.
It has been nothing but a supreme display of raw corage and self confidence on the part of Martina Navratilova. We cannot find the apt words of admiration to describe her feat! Our own Leander shares her glory and definitely wins back some of his own self confidence, so badly bruised for the last two years. However, the day belongs to MARTINA & MARTINA ALONE. HATS OFF!!!
This is not to take the credit away from Martina, but Paes played like a man possessed. May the team combine in the future to conquer many more summits
