It was a very good day for Netto. But the player who won the hearts is their Sri Lankan forward - Jayasurya. It is a fact that the match ended as per Indian Bank's plan. Full credit to their coach - Mr. Sathyan.
Though Mahindra played well, there is still something worong with the team. It is disappointing to see that the so-called stars on whom Mahindra invested crores could not produce results even as per the standard of Mumbai local players. It appears that too many stars in a team will compound problems. Hope, Mahindra Board will look in to the matter seriously and select the team for the coming seasons accordingly. Let there be only a couple of stars. Rest should be comprised with the talented youngsters of Mumbai, Goa, Kerala, Bengal, North East, etc. and the Negros (they must also be juniors). And let Harish Rao or former Dereck or any low profile Coach train them. (We have the example of Ghosh and Air India). Mahindra, of course, can save some hard earned money by this way and hopefully, its reputation.
