Alonso has signs of becoming a champion after Michael
by kamal niranjan on May 19, 2003 12:42 PM

Alonso has got the right talent to prove a threat to the big boys like Schmi, DC, Rubens and Montoya, a former Minardi driver in 2001,a test driver for Renault in 2002 and a talented racer in 2003(Flavios best choice for his Renault team.)
Remember the Malaysian GPs Saturday Qualifying? He was absolutely dominating that momentnot even our World Champion could break his timing, thanks to the Renaults stunning and cunning strategy, talk about the Malaysian GP race day, he gave a strong third place for Renault and his race in Spain, coming a fantastic second place, all these are signs for Alonso to become a champion. Alonso, who occupied the Renault seat formerly occupied by Button (last year) has absolutely proved a launching pad to the performance of the Renault team and talent wise he is quite ahead of Button.
Like the talented and swift Kimi who moved from Sauber to Mclaren if Alonso too gets a seat in Mclaren next year and if he supposing becomes Kimis partner it would be like Prost and Senna back in Mclaren, but we must thank Flavio for putting the Renaults young key player in the spotlight.

Alonso

I think Fernando Alonso could be a star in the making if he is properly groomed and if he is provided good back up support by the team.
I have noted that damp conditions suit him better.
Anyways, best of luck to him,and he could be a future prospect for Ferrari.

Thanx
Ravi
