Since the pathetic comment writers below dont watch any game apart from the sleep-inducing game of cricket, they cant be expected to know about a football match without explicit mention of football in the article. The state of football is lamentable in India and is because of such shameless fools who have forgotten that there was a time when India qualified for the world cup finals.( thats right, thats the world cup of football, not the stupid 7 country 'world' cup of cricket ). One wonders how dare cricket authorities call it a 'world cup' when there are 7-8 regular playing countries only !And you alos rope in countries where some south-east asian expatriate populations play the game in their spare time(eg Canada), just so that u can claim that cricket is popular worldwide !!! a wierd article.....doesn't mention the sport....I think its football, since it mentioned a penalty kick. but still, the article should clearly state the name of the sport.
