First the statement 40-50 % is dowry deaths
by Truth Prevails on Feb 10, 2019 11:46 AM

The entire article is based on the assumption that dowry deaths are 40-50 % of total womens mortality.

Where did this 40-50% come from? Assumption, estimation or creativity?

The writer has only provided statistics till 2016 while we are in 2019. Morever we want to know that why the families of girl encourage giving Dowry when they know it is a crime?. Why do they marry their daughter in such a greedy family who demands dowry? Why is that 498A case has very poor acquittal ratio?

AMONG BIGGER STATES: In Kerala for every 100 males they have more females and in TN , the ratio is more or less equal - In these states the death rate is less where as in Hindi belt for every 100 males, female rate is between 85 and above. Naturally the dowry death ought to have been very less, means there should be demand for women.

Illiteracy, Poverty and religious customs or Culture be the cause

Most of the dowry hassment cases are fake
by MyIndia on Feb 04, 2019 04:28 PM  | Hide replies

The anti-dowry law is one sided. It was formed in a hurry by then women welfare minister Renuka Chowdhary, while her daughter was going thru a divorce. She implicated her son-in-law in the fabricated dowry case.

Many including advocates, police officials and experts feel that it is one sided and favors the girls family.

Dowry deaths also are governed by this law

If you feel so, as to why this govt has not bothered to rectify? First educate the people thru frequent advt the value of women. In many northern Indian states the male/female ratio is not good and further the child mortality rate is high in some states. Those states ought to have been persuaded more.

Dowry death accounts for 40-50% ??

What is the source of this information and why is it a range (of round figures) and not a fixed number.

A regretable shame
by Krishnamoorthy v on Feb 01, 2019 09:07 AM

As every man wants to have a partner for his 'inner fire' often he is reluctant to protect her from the edge of her life wantonly, once his canrnal feelings are 'consumed'. mere shame for the manhood.

Curse, but how many are fake and colored, we will never know. Today in NCR, majority of boy side parents are afraid of girl side parents and daughter in law herself.
