This is one of worst decisions of this Govt. which could not be challaged by any party in parliament for fear of votes in comming general elections. The 10 % reseved for families having income less than Rs 8 Lac per year is just a joke. I donot think more than 10-5 % of general catagory will fall in this catagry for reservation. Int means 85 % of such polpulation will get only 10 % jobs and balance 40 % will go to upper classes having income more than Rs 8 Lac Is it not a joke with poor people most of whom will be deprived of any Govt jobs due to implementation of this bill

that is a moronic nonsense you have blabbered. Only 5% of Indian population filed income tax in 2018, that means huge majority will benefit from 10% reservation. The remaining 40% will be OPEN seats available to EVERYONE. Reservation reserves seats for reserved classes but unreserved seats remain open to all irrespective of caste and income!!!

this was constution ammendent and supre court reject such pleas and as it destroy the time and create rumors. the person challenging it should be fined for it for wasting time of supreme court

read 1992 judgement. sealing of 50 % exists.It cannot be breached.otherwise even OBC can demand more than 40 up from 27 %.

Read the current proposal. It is a Constitutional amendment meant to change the sealing itself!!! To get 40% reservation, OBCs will need to have SP government at the centre!!!!

Please understand that not every constitutional amendment is insulated from judicial scrutiny. If the amendment is ultra vires the "basic structure", it is bound to be struck down. NJAC met the same fate despite being a constitutional amendment. The plea is challenged on the basis that economical status cannot be the sole reason for reservation and/or it is above 50%. The same was observed in the famous Indra Swaney case of 1991. The present plea may be dismissed or allowed. But, certainly can be admitted. Please develop some rudimentary knowledge before commenting...
