Its laughable the way the opposition calls it slap on govt face.
All that the SC did now is reinstate Verma, so that he can kicked out formally through a procedure that the SC came up in its judgment.
There is no indictment of the govt or the CVC in this SC judgment. It just framed a new rule where there was none on how to take of such directors in future.

Read the Judgement

Everyone to read the Judgement, CBI chief is reinstated but without his hands and teeth. He cannot take any policy decisions and what's left is administrative ones like passing vouchers, sanctioning leaves, reading reports, etc. SC has NOT set aside CVC inquiry against him.

Verma should be happy that he will retire as Chief of CBI even if he did not handled any important cases at the end of his tenure.

The government has succeeded in their mission to stop causing more damage by Alok Verma to the government and nation before his retirement.

We live in a country where for a govt. job thousands of people apply, but once selected no one can dare to touch you before retirement because heaven will fall on India.
We need hire and fire policy on all govt. jobs so as to bring efficiency and honesty in working.
All govt. servants must retire on army pattern where even an officer retires normally at 50 as Lt. Col.
Will any govt. take a note of it and implement it so as to finish all such nuisance which we are noticing by govt. servants, it appears SC is mainly for politicians, govt servants, criminals and corrupts.

agarwalji
you have not understood the system of our country

in our country the politicians are RAJA/MAHARAJAS
all the govt servants are their SENAPATI/SOLDIERS you can even call them slaves of politicians

the common man including me has no power except chosing lesser evil

now the job of govt servants is to keep us under control in whatever name, they make sure that we will not raise our voice against the politicians

in return the govt servants get GUARANTEE of their jobs and perks after retirements

if a common man beats up a politician or govt servant he will be behind bars immediately

if a govt servant beats up a politician he will be behind bars immediately

but
if a politician beats a common man or a govt servant nothing will happens to him

thats the harsh reality and because of this no politician (including modi) can bring in reform you are talking about.

SC back on track....it has exposed modi govts malafide intentions...but since alok verma tenure ends this month he has not much time left for his investigations...he was looking into scams and irregularities of modi govt even rafale deal so modi govt acted fast and did a lot of drama..so that much time was lost for alok verma...now in the remaining time alok verma must act very fast as after this month modi will bring in his puppet to head cbi...

SC is also political, want to remain good in everyone eye. If Alok Verma orders anything against present govt. it means prejudice and bias.

by NEELAKANTAN R on Jan 08, 2019 02:28 PM  | Hide replies

in 2014 itself Sri Harish Salve predicted that if opposition fails on all other front, then they will use judiciary to topple this government. Now read the judgement. They have reinstated the CBI director subject to the condition the select committee should look into the charges against him and take appropriate decision. The violation they noted is procedural not operational. Does this a real SC judgement or not let people decide.

still enquiry report has to come out and please remember there are series of cases where judiciary has delayed the workmen died starving. not understood what was the urgency in this matter. if sc is to act effectively in labour matters as well there would be great relief. alas that won't happen becoz sc is meant for only big shots / t....r...i....s.... and not for r...a... dir..

Yes Common man, after giving a judgement on sabarimala issue and messing up the total law and order of a state, the same SC clarify the state should not use force to implement the order. Those who wants to go they can go.
