Anyway the refugees can become citizens after 12 years of residence. This was accepted by all. Why then change it to 6 years ? Was it just to show everyone that BJP are better HIndus than others ?

Finally one good move to help the minorities being persecuted in the neighboring Islamic countries. Assamese should be compensated and efforts should be doubled to protect their identity and culture. What ever it takes. There is a clause in the bill which allows the state governments to recommend to the center on who should be given citizenship. Assam can use this clause if it feels overburdened with migrants.
