PEOPLE NOW WANT THE CHANGE MODI FAILED TO BRING.ABOUT
by damodaran mohan on Feb 12, 2019 06:43 PM  | Hide replies

Wonder if Dr Vaishnav should have got the RG award for ‘fiction’ category going by his conclusion on Modi's likely return. Whichever state of India Modi travels he is greeted with black flag, an indicator of his unpopularity rather. He has made it to PM's post mainly by his marketing and oratory skills coupled with some clever internal manipulative politics within his Hindutva clan. Just in 5 yrs as PM he has managed to hurtle India down the religious bigotry road not seen before in the last 70 yrs. Other than abusing Nehru and Gandhi family he has done little else precious to transform the country for any better on the main plank of corruption and BM on which the UPA was voted out in the first place. He can’t keep justifying his belated actions and failures on economy, jobs, bank NPAs blaming UPA for everything. While people believed him initially on DEMON but as it unfolded gradually it proved disastrous for the poor in the informal sector still reeling under its after effects. On the other hand the rich and BM people were hardly affected. Even the best Reforms like GST were poorly implemented causing more pain than resulting in real transformation. On the Institution front instead of saving them from govt. abuse he only managed further destruction of all the central institutions giving lame excuse of past such abuses by Cong during Emergency. So where is the change or transformation Modi promised?

(CONTD.)‘Min govt. max governance' promise too proved hollow.Never before people have witnessed govt. prowling all over spreading fear and intolerance curbing freedom of expression in every field. Neither has he been able to make much impact on reviving economy, jobs or reassuring India’s role in global scene as claimed given his foreign policy failures with every country big or small. How dare China warn the PM of the country during his recent visit to Arunachal Pradesh? The feeble response was not very reassuring. So Modi is not at all popular as being claimed in the column but yes dominant in the media using his govt. propaganda machinery. Main problem is his credibility has taken a big hit and people do not believe him anymore. The survey results by pollsters cleverly indicating NDA not BJP falling only marginally short of majority mark is a typical media management to hide the level of BJP’s unpopularity. In fact assuming EVMs are fair BJP might just about manage to cross 100 marks with NDA at around 150-160 not more .The LS speech on ‘P’ address certainly looks to be Modi’s last speech as PM in the Parliament.

THE HINDU - N Ram, The Chairman of THE Hindu Group of publications is most respectable personality among people and also in the field of Journalism. Running the News Paper over 140 years in TN, right from the days of your great great grandfather. You criticize an eminent 74 years old personality.

If at all anything is found wrong, you ought to have taken steps to disprove his evidential proof. (NOT for you) ....Writing always negative/defame agst persons forgetting the topic/matter will lead to negative vote agst the group which you follow.

You don't become respectable by just saying the word hundreds of times.
The Hindu has changed hands since the 1990s and is an openly communist mouthpiece. If N.Ram is respected then so is Arnab Goswami. They are just on the opposite sides with differing political views.

Gladys - you are obviously anti BJP. Nothing wrong with that, but don't make a lofty statement claiming that you don't support any political party. Be upfront about your views, else you will be a comedy piece.

Mr Srinivas: I have the habit of criticizing the govt on policies and decisions made and also its functioning, both positive and negative. Till 2010, I have no time to spare because of my position but I had opportunities to speak with people's representatives of different parties and I was a patient listener. Frankly I would like to say none of them gave any pressure on me.
Further I never had any opportunity to vote either in favour/agst Cong & BJP. But voted agst whom I felt bad but not to NOTA.
In this blog I reply agst some negative & irrelevant comments. Whether I am right or wrong, I have a strong feeling of 'all are sailing in the same boat'- The political culture of India has been changed since 1970s.

Sharmaji Thank you - I write never supporting any political party but in general write or make a query or furnish specific particulars when wrongly stated with any aversion agst anybody. To me it is a time pass or dissemination of knowledge which I gained out of my experience in the field of economics, medical, Finance, banking, MSME Industries, physical fitness, sports and history.
First all ruling politicians (applicable to all leaders) should be aware of one quoting IDIPPARAI ILLAA EMARA MANNAN KEDUPPARINDRI THANE KEDUM - means

The King must be aware that his Kingdom will fall automatically, in case he is not bothered to listen others' adverse (advises) comments - Thirukkural written some 2000 years ago.

Another saying a person who has risen through advertisement could not last long - Poet Kannadasan (1962)

Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech: "How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings. But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you--when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. "Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me, since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm." My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding-indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, then you will understand the fear

then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path.

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways. Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
