Air Space Violation
by sanjay narayan naik on Oct 01, 2018 10:03 AM

Any plane violating general air space is first given warning by firing warning shots and if it didnt react positively then it is brought down. Since this plane was civilian it was left to go with warning shot to avoid escalation of present situation. if it was howering near critical miliatary location then it would have brought down without warning shots. This is international rule.

I think
by Sunil Kumar on Oct 01, 2018 08:04 AM

I think it was a recce done for P@k's own surgical strike to be carried out on India soon. I think there was too much news and drama created on the surgical strike issue by the govt and the media alike, and P@k may be feeling the pricks a 100 times and may be wanting to teach a lesson. It is time our govt and the defense agencies woke up from the slumber and put in place mechanisms to deal with any eventuality.

Surprise the pak defense forces deep inside pak and at border
by rajesh venkatraman on Sep 30, 2018 09:36 PM

For every action from the Pak end we need to have reaction from our end in such a way that pilots will fear to see the indian border from the pak side even on warplane or helicopter.

We need to have precision weapons to hit such flying objects near border to show the world that they dare to enter our airspace without any intimation or warning.

We need send in more projectiles towards the army posts on the other side and keep them on fire day and night. Also we need to try new ammunition for the border skirmishes rather than just normal gun fire which should take the pak troops by surprise and confuse them as to what happened and from where did the firing come from or the explosion happened.

The Helicopter was in our weapons range and could have very well intercepted. But we failed, I don't know the reason.

Atithi devo bhava
by Vishvaksenah on Sep 30, 2018 06:46 PM  | Hide replies

"Atithi devo bhava - considers guests as gods"is what our ancient scriptures say.

We should have welcomed the arrival of the white helicopter from our neighbouring country with this friendly attitude.

Instead we "engaged it with small arms"....which is against the noble ethos of our ancient secular land.

Beloved Bapuji, father of nation would have turned in grave.
As a staunch secularist, I request the muscle flexing govt. of India to apologise for this inhuman act.

I also all the beloved, noble, peace loving liberals and secularists like Teeistaa ji, Shabanaa ji, Swara Bhaskarji,Sudha Bharadwaj ji, Sagarika ji, Burkha ji . Mamata ji and others to take candle light procession to Wagah border and do a satyagraha over there.

Violating our airspace
by b g on Sep 30, 2018 05:25 PM

Any violation of airspace by Pakistan must be given with an armed response. We have to fire at them and not give any warning. This was the same way how Pakistan responded during Kargil.
