If this happens
by Surya Narayan Das on Sep 30, 2018 04:42 AM

I can predict, BJP will get more seats than last time.

My observation says that in last 4 years, BJP loses little popularity in Northern base (specially in UP and Rajasthan). In Western base (Maharashtra and Gujarat), BJP will lose few seats. Central part, MP and Chatishgarh, same situation like Western part, will lose few seats.

Southern part, either it will held the same seats or may gain or lose 2 or 3 seats.

But, in Eastern part, Bihar is the only region where BJP may lose seats. In Odisha and WB, the party should do much better. In North east, party should do extremely well.

Overall the party can win around 240 seats at the present situation but we never know what will happen at the time of election, as lots of permutations combinations will take place.

if the congress goes alone. They will get the majority and wont have to be dependent on local vested interests in 2019. The BJP can start horse trading from now itself

This time BJP should get 400 seats. WIth majority in both loksabha and rajyasabha, it can implement common civil code, scrapping article 370, building Ram mandir and kick out the bangladeshis.

These are actually irrelevant things for most common people !

If the BJP does get 400 seats, it should realise the dream of the RSS in scrapping the SC/ST act altogether, give respectability to the de facto feudalism (landlord tenant system) prevailing in much of North India, officially declare the Rs 120 most manual workers get per day in North India as the minimum wage, completely ban teaching of the English language for poor and middle class students, further cut the already miniscule budgets for public health and education, revoke all laws protecting the environment so that crony capitalists can savage the forests, lakes, agricultural land, mountains for big profits, bring back virtual monarchy by diluting the constitution and even declare the competition itself invalid !!

Agree. The basic weakness of Congress which it fails to accept (also it realizes) is that its choice of leader is not acceptable to the educated Indian population.
