The judgement on adultery is ridiculous and is influenced by western culture and values. Indian society has its own culture and values and this judgement is encouraging adultery. very thoughtless judgement.
ConjugalRights Come from the same school of thought that treats woman a property not just of the husband but her body a property of the state, because only when the state has the right over some ‘thing’ can it give it to someone else.
I don’t know what right does the court of law have over a woman’s body to give it to a man in the name of ConjugalRights.

I mean until we have a holistic view of unconstitutional precedents from the Brit Raj, we can never reach the root of the problem that is dividing families and pushing people into enormous emotional pain.
For instance HUF, it takes a HinduFamily an extension of its asset and calls it HinduUndividedFamily(HUF). Such a vegetative view?
It also forms the foundation of the view towards the population it seems.
So Until the ‘Trust and Trusteeship’ takes the driving seat and such precedents be challenged, the relations between Men, Women, Siblings and Children can never be brought in to perspective and we'll continue to be extension of assets.

Prostitutes take money and gives happiness ,where there is no cheating .But in adultery it is clear cheating leading to the emotions and subsequent murders in daily news. Marriage has great value in hindu society , if there is no value , see where India will be. Judges has to think of which is right which is wrong. Marriage gives responsibility to husband /wife where the prostitutes does not have responsibility on adultery. Education should improve the values of India and not for destroying the values.

I personally applaud the judgment decriminalizing it. Now at least one can sue for money (damages) in civil court and not pay cops to register cases. But procedurally 498A IPC is also heavily biased with cops and money controlling the shots. No real investigation happens. One word of wife's complaint and the husband's family are jeopardy. The the law is clear but the implementation is never according to the clear law. That needs to change too.

From another point of view Section 497 is biased against Men. It made the man who committed adultery liable to prosecution by the husband of the lady who participated in the so-called crime while the lady in the said crime could not be prosecuted. Has this inequality also been struck down by the wise men?
