The barbarian Peshwas...
by piri on Sep 27, 2018 05:36 PM

were also stuxpid !

These barbarians, just like their ancestors, lead lives of ease and luxury at the expense of common people who they labeled as low caste groups !

All the hard work was done by the commoners while the barbarians only ate, drank and copulated !

The Mahars first offered to fight on the side of these barbarians against the British provided they were relieved of the insulting requirement of having to wear a pot and a broom on their person whenever they appeared in public.

The stuxpid Peshwas refused !

They imagined that they could go on having the cake and eating it too !

The Mahars then approached the British with the same condition and were welcomed !

And the British kept their promise after the Peshwas were routed !

For a long time thereafter, the Mahars lived free of those humiliating social requirements under the protection of the British !

The stuxpid Peshwas, who continued to remain stuxpid and barbarian, kept trying to take back their kingdom without making any move to promise the Mahars or any other so called low caste segment that there would not be any more discrimination or exploitation !

These facts are part of the submissions before the commission of inquiry going into the reasons for the violence.

A question to Jyoti Punwani
by electronic centre on Sep 27, 2018 03:18 PM

At first it should be clear that we are against the so called caste system in India. No body is upper and no body is lower.

Question is that, what was about that Bhima-Koregaon war ? British fought with Indian (read lead by Peshwa). Those 'Mahar' fighters were mercenary soldiers of British power. They were paid by British for that.
Where is the celebration in it ? Loosing freedom of India ?
Ms. Punewani, did you not like independent mother land ?

The fallacy of reservations
by Vidyut Shenoy on Sep 27, 2018 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

The very basis of reservation is flawed. It has to be based on economic criteria and not on the flimsy grounds that people were mistreated. BTW, there is little historical evidence of the alleged mistreatment, only a figment of Max Mueller's fertile imagination that was vilely furthered by a rampant British empire for its own gain.
We have remained slaves to this foreign mentality. In order to provide equality, should we not make people work for what they need/want? The reservation and quota drama has shown that preferential treatment only perpetuates a sense of entitlement and fosters bias of the opposite kind without removing any inequality. Why can affluent dalits (there are many of them) not give up their entitlement, but claim it as their birth right? Instead of punishing others through unethical laws, the original bounds of the law must be enacted right away instead of an intelligent India being moored to mediocracy. This recipe for disaster should have been burned down long ago, instead of burning the meal. It will be great to see an India that is not the perpetual feeding ground for missionaries and lumpen politicians.

HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!What a gr8 logic????
If mistreatmnet & biases were not there why the Upper_Caste & SCST_OBC have feelings of hatred towards each other?????
Reservation is not a poverty alleviation program. It was meant to empower the downtrodden in the existing Indian society. That discrimination still persists, especially more towarsd SCST & to some lesser extent towatds OBCs.
However it can be rationalised,by being Impartial towards one another,if we Indians really want to progress in tootality & not that of only a priviledged few????????????????????

Reservation

Ambedkar made reservation for few years, today it is political hate spreading tool, its purpose is defeated, none needy, deprived and poor is getting a chance to avail reservation, creamy layer and grandsons of SC,ST are snatching the rights of needy. All politicians are silent or just counting their votes.
If in a secular country, such bias remains, it a blot.

Do you understand logic at all? An elongated HAHAHA... is no substitute for logic. Do understand that. There is something called provocation that has been used all the time. Incidentally, I am sure you are unaware that all of Hinduism's popular deities are from non-upper castes. So hear it before you go HAing ... Max Mueller obviously got it all wrong. By empowering people you give them a sense of being not a sense of undoing, which the so called oppressed have been practicing. Show me one SC/ST leader who is constructive !! Be it Mayawati, Lalu, Akhilesh they all exist for themselves and to provoke their kinsmen into doing violent acts. That can in no way be empowerment!!
